HNSConnect® Overview

 

HNSConnect® is a state-of-the-art web-based application that will allow you to electronically send your HNS claims, via the Internet, directly to HNS from your practice management software system.

HNSConnect® is ONLY for claims that process through HNS. Claims for payors who do not contract with HNS will not be accepted by HNSConnect®.   HNSConnect® is designed to work with all practice management software systems, provided your software system can create an electronic file  (either CMS 1500 print image or an 837p HIPAA file).  HNSConnect® is HIPAA compliant so you can be sure that your electronic data is protected.

HNSConnect® was designed to streamline the claim filing process and is free for all HNS providers.  HNSConnect® will further reduce your clearinghouse costs since you will no longer need to pay your clearinghouse to “drop your claims to paper” or pay them to electronically transmit your HNS claims.

HNSConnect® was designed to be extremely easy to use and has many great features.  There is also a helpful HNSConnect® User Manual that will guide you through this easy-to-use system should you need assistance. Additionally, HNS HNSConnect® Representatives are available to assist you with any of your questions.

 

Some of the great features of HNSConnect® are:

 

  • Provides you with the total number of claims that you submit each day
  • Provides you with the total number of claims that were successfully processed through HNS
  • Identifies many types of errors
  • Gives you a written explanation regarding each error
  • Where applicable, highlights the appropriate box on the CMS 1500 claim form that needs correction
  • Allows you to quickly correct any errors and resubmit the claim
  • Informs you of the date and time the claims were processed
  • Provides useful management information such as:
    • Daily totals of claims submitted to each insurance carrier
    • Total dollar amount of claims for each insurance company

 

HNSConnect® includes advanced data validations (edits) to capture any claims with certain missing or incorrect information and easily allows you to quickly correct the errors and resubmit the claim. HNSConnect® will display an electronic CMS 1500 claim form on your computer screen and will inform you of the specific reason a claim is rejected (such as a missing date of birth or missing CPT code). The error reason and the error on the CMS 1500 claim form are indicated in red text; making it easy to identify the reason for the rejection and allowing you to quickly and efficiently correct the claim and resubmit.
