Free CE Seminar and Cocktail Reception

HNS cordially invites you to attend the 2011 FREE CE Seminar, on March 5th and 6th at the Sheraton Four Seasons Convention Center in Greensboro, NC.
On behalf of the HNS board members and the management and staff of HNS, we hope you will join us at this great event.
In addition to earning 12 hours of free CE credits, our annual CE seminar provides a great opportunity to visit with friends and colleagues from across the state.
HNS is committed to providing real value to all of our network providers by providing you with free online CE, electronic solutions, provider reps and free CE seminars. This seminar and our cocktail reception is our way of saying “thank you” for your support and your participation in our network.

The HNS Cocktail Reception is FREE
The Saturday night HNS Cocktail Reception includes plenty of cocktails and other beverages, delicious food and is just steps from the seminar rooms.
We have reserved a block of rooms at the Sheraton Four Seasons for both Friday and Saturday nights at a discounted price of $132.00 per night plus tax. We urge you to register for the seminar and reserve your hotel room as soon as possible. These rooms will be available at this price only until February 17, 2011.
To reserve your room, and to receive the special group discount rate, call the Sheraton at (800) 242-6556, extension #1 and identify yourself as an HNS Provider attending the HNS CE Seminar.
This year’s seminar features two 12 hour CE programs, and all of our programs have been approved by the N.C. Board of Chiropractic Examiners. Within 45 days of the seminar HNS will report your CE credits to the NC BOE.

Validating Chiropractic - Establishing Medical Necessity through Functional Improvement
(12 hours of CE credits)
Saturday, March 5, 8am to 5pm (Free lunch 12:00 – 12:45pm)
Sunday, March 6, 8am to 12 noon
Dr. Malik Slosberg
Dr. Slosberg addresses the physiological effect of chiropractic manipulation on the motor and sensory systems and how it leads to functional improvement. He will discuss outcome assessments, therapeutic exercise protocols, and the importance of integrating these with spinal manipulation. Dr. Slosberg is an internationally known speaker, a professor at Life Chiropractic College West and a founding member of the National Institute of Chiropractic Research.
Neck Pain, CVA, and Treatment of the Cervical Spine
(6 hours of CE credits)
Saturday, March 5, 3pm to 5pm
Sunday, March 6, 8am to 12 noon
Dr. Stephen Savoie
Dr. Savoie, a featured NCMIC speaker, will review the common conditions presenting as neck pain. His program includes the latest research on CVA, the elements of the case history, cervical examination procedures, clinical findings, and how to minimize your malpractice risks.
Risk Management, Ethics & Professional Boundaries
(6 hours of CE credits)
Saturday, March 5, 8am to 3pm (Free lunch 12:00 – 12:45pm)
Ms. Anna Allen, RN, MSN, CLNC
Ms. Allen is a featured NCMIC speaker, Professional Relations Representative, and Continuing Education Instructor. Unofficially dubbed “Best HNS featured speaker”, by sharing her unique experiences, Ms. Allen makes this program interesting and entertaining!

Registration for the seminar is via the secure portion of our website: www.healthnetworksolutions.net. You will need your HNS username and password to register. (Please contact your HNS Provider Rep if you need assistance in obtaining your username and password)
To register, click on the large GREEN “Provider Login” button located on the home page of our website, then enter your username and password. (Please remember these are case sensitive.)
From the secure portion of the website, click on the “NC CE Seminar” tab at the top of the page. From the drop down box provided, please click on “Registration”.
You will be prompted to choose ONE of the following two CE programs; each program provides a total of 12 hours of CE credits.
Program 1:
12 hours - Validating Chiropractic - Establish Medical Necessity through Functional Improvement presented by Dr. Malik Slosberg
Program 2:
6 hours - Neck Pain, CVA, and Treatment of the Cervical Spine, presented by Dr. Stephen Savoie
6 hours - Risk Management, Ethics & Professional Boundaries presented by Ms. Anna Allen, RN, MSN, CLNC (6 hours)
